Bad Film

he film was made at a time when Vijay Devarakonda was struggling to find a foothold in the industry. Of course, now he is a star with reckoning thanks to Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy. But Ye Mantram Vesave shows the struggling actor. While the film itself lacks impact, the climax scenes surely test the patience of the viewer. The director creates a hide and seek game of sorts that is thoroughly predictable and headache-inducing to say the least. In all, it is a bad attempt and a bad watching experience for Vijay's fans. But more than his fans, it is surely a painful reminder for Vijay Devarakonda, that he had acted in one such film. As for the audience, if any, they will end up wanting to browse the net and play video games, instead of sitting through the film. Sad, but true.

Concept Gone Haywire

On the whole, Ye Mantram Vesyave is a film which Vijay Devarakonda needs to shrug it off from his system right away. Though it is a very old film of his which has released now, there is nothing much which the actor can boast about it. Except for his performance and interesting concept, this film does not give the necessary kick which is expected of Vijay?s movies and can be watched comfortably when it is aired on TV.

Look For The Exit

Ye Mantram Vesave should be a lesson to him to understand that it is not enough to just have an exciting concept or content, the director should be capable enough to bring it to life onscreen. After all, it is what is on the big screen that matters not what is on the paper. There is a Malayalam movie (also dubbed into Telugu) named 100 Days of Love starring Dulquar and Nithya Menen. Alternative take would be to have execution on par with the film with a different cast.
